Here’s the reason many of us are against this new push to change the rules on private sales of guns: yes, it is good if we know that guns are not begin sold to criminals (although even with this law such sales will continue as those are the types that do not obey the law regardless). However, the ONLY thing this will do is raise the price for used guns. If that private sale now has to go through someone with an FFL, that someone is going to charge a fee for their services and rightly so. That is going to add to the price of that used gun. If it really was going to prevent sales to criminals, perhaps that would be more acceptable. But in reality, those who can actually think, those with common sense, it will do virtually nothing in keeping guns away from criminals. And, of course, the left-tards will scream from the mountaintops that the NRA doesn’t want this because they do not care about crime . . .
