Yes, that appears to be exactly what Barrack Obama has committed now. He has suspended a federal law that makes it illegal to arm and/or assist enemies of the United States of America in order to be able to arm and/or assist the Syrian rebels whom are fighting against Assad. Everyone knows these rebels are comprised of Al Qaeda (sworn enemy and terrorist organization at war with the United States), Hezbollah, (sworn enemy and terrorist organization against the United States), and dozens of other factions that are all affiliated with, or a part of, Al Qaeda and Hezbollah.
Is not arming and aiding these terrorist organizations blatantly against Article 3, Section 3 of the Constitution of the United States? If so, is this blatant act not a textbook definition of Treason? And, has not our military personnel all sworn an oath to protect our country from enemies both foreign and domestic? Is not a person in the United States who commits treason an enemy of the United States? Therefore, is not our military obligated to actually do something about it since our Senators lack the courage to do so?
Our country has been pushing the bounds of the Constitution for many years but seems to have went completely off the deep end since 9/11, all in the name of protecting the American people. Did you agree with trading some of your liberty for perceived security? Are you OK with government eavesdropping on your every phone conversation, your every email, your every web page viewing? How about what you buy at the grocery store, what you watch on TV, where you drive your car? You do realize those things are being done, right? They’ll tell you, “If you are doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about.” Really? Have we become that dumbed down and gullible that we actually believe that? Do you not understand how this sort of information on individuals is a treasure trove of data for a number of nefarious purposes. These databases that are being populated with your personal, private information will never be dismantled — they will only grow with more and more information on you and your family.
Back to Syria; arming our enemies in Syria is one of the stupidest things we have done. Eventually those weapons will be turned against us because after this war, those terrorists will continue to hate us. It’s not as if those weapons will magically disintegrate when they’re done killing others there. Look at what happened in Libya. We assisted the rebels there and now the oil supply coming out of Libya is 10% of what it used to be, increasing the market price of oil, thereby increasing the price of gasoline at our pumps. Look at Egypt. Who in their right mind in the free world wanted the radical Muslim Brotherhood to take over there? But, that is exactly what we caused by interfering.
The same is going to happen in Syria. Assad is not a good person … far from it. But he’s better than those fighting to overthrow him. If the opposition wins, you can bet our gasonline prices will go even higher, and we’ll be even more of a target with the use of the weapons our treasonous president has provided the terrorists there. It’s time our military generals do their job: order to have this president arrested and try him in a military court for treason. Absolutely no one should be exempt from such a heinous act.
