I am confused.
Some people I know whom are intelligent and hard-working still think Obama is a great presidential choice. That confuses the heck out of me.
When you ask them about his lies about Libya and the deaths of Americans, they shrug it off.
When you remind them how he goes around the Constitution whenever he cannot get his way, they shrug it off.
When you clue them in that 3 of the world’s worst current dictators support him (Chavez, Putin and Castro) and how that alone should clue them into being on the wrong side, they shrug it off.
When you remind them that this guys only job creation was government jobs that require taxpayer monies (i.e. their taxes) to pay their wages, they shrug it off.
When you point out how he himself said that their energy prices are going to “necessarily skyrocket”, they shrug it off (but will be the biggest squealers and complainers when it affects their wallet)
And on and on and on.
I just don’t get it. As I said, I know they are smart, yet they choose to wear blinders when confronted with this information for some reason. I know many of them have never experienced, let alone lived in, a communist or socialist country nor have they known someone close who has, but one would think that common sense would tell them that that is not a good thing.
Anyone, ANYONE!, who wants to be left alone to work as hard as they want to achieve as much as they can should not even be thinking of supporting such a person as obama. Certainly those that want to feed at the government trough will support him, but one would think those are few and far between. Yes, there are a record number of people on food stamps and government assistance, but have people lost all pride and all desire to get on their feet and succeed? Has our schools and educators taught them that “the collective — e.g. the borg” is the best way to go? Are they afraid of individualism? Have their parents just done a really lousy job of instilling good, hard working values and ethics into them?
Yes, I am confused.
